This week I'm sharing more from Making Scandal as I continue writing Mark and Faith's story. One of the reason I love writing this story is that these two can go from intense to playful and vice versa. One minute I'm smiling as they tease each other, the next my heart is racing as the atmosphere tenses up.
This is the start of one of their playful scenes. It's a little longer than 7 sentences but I hope you'll forgive me.

Warmth spread across her chest as she smiled
and stepped forward. "I was trying not to disturb you in case you were
asleep."
"I can smell you."
"What?" She sniffed herself.
"Not like that." His low, husky laughter
filled her living room and he angled his head to stare at her face. "You
smell of sunshine and lavender. I love your scent."
