Why would he risk getting into trouble for her? #MidWeekTease #ASMSG Riding Rebel

Hello, Mid-week Teasers and Readers. It's that time again, thanks to the lovely Sandra Bunino.

I'm happy to announce that Riding Rebel officially came out on Monday. So I'm going to share one more tease before I move on to a new story.

In this scene, Tony has just dispatched Rita's abusive boyfriend and is comforting her. Enjoy.

"You mean you are not upset about breaking up with him? I thought he was the man you wanted to marry."
"No. I'm not upset about that. I was going to break up with him, anyway. It was what he said to me that upset me. He—" She choked. "He called me a slut." Tears ran down her face.
"Oh, Buttons. I'm sorry he upset you. But if he comes near you again, I'm going to kill him." Tony folded her in his arms again, his scent and thoughtfulness comforting her.
Rita grimaced. "Thank you for trying to cheer me up, but those are strong words."
"They are, and I mean every one of them. I won't let him hurt you again. And if he tries, he'll end up being food for the birds."
She pulled back, shocked by the vehemence in his voice. Now that she thought about it, Anayo had bruises on his face. "Are you serious?"
"I am."
He brushed back hair from her face, her skin tingling from his touch.
"Why?"
This was the man she should hate. A man who’d benefited from her father's demise, her family's grief. He shouldn't care about what happened to her. And yet, here was comforting her, threatening to kill her ex. For her. She needed to understand him. "Why would you risk getting into trouble and going to prison for me?"
"Good question." He stood and walked over to her window and stared outside, then he turned around and shoved his hands into his jeans’ front pockets. For the first time since she’d met him, he looked confused. "I really don’t know the answer to that except that since I met you, I haven't been able to stop thinking about you. When I sleep, I dream about you. When I'm awake, thoughts of you plague my day. I've tried to push it all aside but seeing you again today has stirred those feelings again."
Was it possible he felt the same way she did? Warmth bloomed in her chest and she tried to suppress the smile making her lips curl.
"The thing is, I'm not good at relationships. I don't date the way other people do. I'm very screwed up and there are things about me that will send you running away if you found out. I really am no good for you."
Perhaps he wasn't. Mr. Petersen had said some bad things about his family. But hearing Tony disparage himself after coming to her rescue tonight didn't quite match up to that image.
"Let me be the judge of that. I'm obviously no good at relationships, either. But I have been thinking about you since Friday, too. And..." She trailed off when he came closer.
"You are so sweet and beautiful. I'm going to ruin you." He drew her up so their bodies merged. He leaned his head against hers and sighed. "And I honestly don't want to hurt you."
But you have already. Your family hurt mine.
She closed her eyes, knowing she should step away from him and end this thing brewing between them. It wouldn’t end well. For him or her. She had a job to do. She had to think of her father, her sister, and her mother. She couldn’t bring back her father but she could give her sister a future, and completing this assignment would help her achieve it.
But how could she spy on a man who said and did the kind of things Tony did for her? Any hate she'd felt for him had already melted away, being transformed into something that could destroy her.

Here's the blurb:

Seen as the rebel Essien, Tony has always felt like an outsider. With a daredevil lifestyle, he’s more at home in leathers than in a suit, and more likely to be seen gracing the red carpets at a movie premiere with a starlet draped on his arms than in a boardroom. Still, he’s determined to prove himself to his family and build a successful movie business. Spotting Rita Dike at an event, he sees the potential star of his new movie and his next pleasure conquest.

Rita is a journalist looking for her big break. When she inherits the journal of a late friend which claims Tony is not an Essien through the hands of her boss, a man with a shady past, Rita spots the perfect scoop. Her acting classes come in handy when she has to pose as an actress to get closer to Tony. Succumbing to the charms of dark and brooding Tony might just be the only way to get through the close ranks of the Essien family.

But as she gets closer to the truth, Rita risks losing the riding rebel who’s raided her heart. Can love heal hearts or will deceit break them?

Love is worth the fight @RavenMcAllan on The Dommes of Ballingal: Kristin #book

Today, I have the lovely Raven McAllan on my blog. She is a very prolific writer of all things erotica and the number of her books is getting close to the 100-titles mark I'm sure. I'm proud to call her a friend . Check out her latest book.

The Dommes of Ballingal: Kristin

Ballingal. An Island in the middle of a Loch. Where women rule, and hearts are saved—or broken.
I love the sound of the ladies of the loch. There are six of them. Kristin's is the first story to be told.

Kristin McCrory would never in a million years have thought her ex-husband would show up on Ballingal and profess his need to sub for her. Flynn is the ultimate stubborn Alpha male, and his refusal to even discuss her need to be in charge had already cost them their marriage. That, and his apparent need to seek out the most dangerous place to report on in his work as a television documentary reporter.

However, the Flynn she knew is not the Flynn who stands before her now. This Flynn is a broken man and she can’t just turn him away. As an Empath and mind reader, Kristin can sense his emotional and physical pain. It means Kristin feels even more drawn to the man she loves, and their connection is as strong as ever.
Love is worth fighting for after all, and Flynn finds new strength in his submission.

The wait is over. Riding Rebel is OUT NOW #romance #sexysnippets #asmsg

Welcome back to Sexy Snippets. If you are not familiar with Sexy Snippets, it is a weekly meme hosted by The Nuthouse Scribblers where writers share seven sentences from their work-in-progress or published work. Feel free to join us. It's a great way to show off you work and attract new readers. Go to Sexy Snippets to sign up or follow the Facebook page for more information.

Finally, the 3rd book in The Essien Trilogy is HERE. Riding Rebel is available to download. I have to tell you that I'm mighty excited about this one. Mostly because telling Tony Essien's story took me out of my comfort zone.

And this comment by an early reviewer captures the essence of Tony and Rita's story...

"The story of these two is about two young adults battling their demons whilst trying to fit into a world where expectations are high and pit falls abound. It's about betrayal, deceit, manipulations and finding hope, trust and redemption in the unlikeliest of places. Any true Kiru Taye fan will absolutely love this."

Another reviewer says:

"Firstly this is a fantastic read. Secondly I'll certainly be going back and reading the others on this series as this was a great read.
Tony and Rita are fantastic characters. Tony is a bad boy who goes after what he wants. Rita's an innocent girl!!!
Jump aboard and see how Tony and Rita fight to fit in. Great read."

So without further ado, here's a sexy snippet:

"When you walked into that lift with me, you were mine. When you let me eat your pussy on the sofa, you were mine. Tonight, I'm going to make you mine for real."
He growled his words, the deep rumbles vibrating in her core, making her clench hard on empty space. She wanted him inside her.
"Make me yours," she managed to breathe out through a constricted throat.
"Now, here's an invitation I can't refuse."

She writhed beneath his touch #MidWeekTease #ASMSG KOLA #comingsoon

Welcome back to Mid-Week Tease hosted by the lovely Sandra Bunino.

This week I'm going to tease you from a story I started writing a while ago which I'm working on revising and completing. It's a spin off from The Essien Trilogy, titled Kola. Yes, you read that right. This is Kola Banks story. If you've read any of the Essien books, then you know he is their chief of security.

Tari writhed beneath his touch. His tongue, warm and wet, swirled around her already taut aching nipple. She moaned softly as her back arched off the bed. Her hands held onto his head, the short-cropped hair bristly on her palms. Fiery sensation invaded her essence. His hands travelled further down her body searing her with heat slowly. Agonisingly. Whimpering softly, she wished he would move one of his hands to the spot at her core that yearned for them most. Her body was hot, slick with sweat. With each touch of his hands and lips she climbed closer to her peak of awareness. As if sensing her desperation his moved his hand between her thighs and...
The sound of the phone ringing filtered into her hazy brain.
No!
Keeping her eyes shut, she willed her lover to continue. He lifted his head and moved back instead. “Please,” she pleaded, opening her eyes to encourage him.

I hope you enjoyed the teaser. Leave me a comment. I love them always.

Over to you, Mik...

Staying in the past or stepping into the future?

Thank you for having me on your blog. Well 2015 has started in a superb way with a new release. However 2014 was not a productive year writing wise but the last few months my brain kicked in and inspiration returned in the form of this series called Moon Maidens – a FF or lesbian series. Book 1 called Moon Maidens is out now.

She stood there looking sexy as sin #MidWeekTease #ASMSG Riding Rebel #comingsoon

Welcome back to Mid-Week Tease hosted by the lovely Sandra Bunino.

This week I bring you more of Riding Rebel. This scene follows on from last week's first encounter (well, I skipped some).

His grip on her arm tightened and he increased his pace as they headed across the polished marbled floor of the lobby to the lifts. She stumbled. He swivelled, grasped her shoulder, and pulled her into him to save her from falling over. He'd forgotten she was tottering on sky-high-heeled shoes. He really shouldn’t be such a bastard no matter how pissed off he was at the situation.
His panting breath mingled with hers, their faces only an inch apart. "I'm sorry."
"It's okay," she whispered in a breathy voice, surprisingly subdued.
The urge to kiss her rose, watering his mouth. They stood in the middle of a busy lobby with prying eyes and mobile phone cameras. Tomorrow, their pictures would be splashed all over the Internet. It never bothered him when that happened. However Rita's artless demeanour indicated she wasn't used to the limelight. Something in him wanted to shield her from the exposure.
So he tamped down his desire and tilted her head up so she had to look into his eyes. Her soft, smooth skin felt warm and beautiful brown irises met his hesitantly. "I'm going to call the lift and go up to my room. It's your choice if you want to come up or not."
"What..." She sucked in a breath as if gathering strength to say what she needed. "What do you want from me?"
"I want to fuck you," he said in low voice meant for her ears only.
Her lips parted, her breath hitched. The pulse on her neck thundered and her throat rippled as she swallowed. But she didn't back away and her saucer-wide eyes turned molten brown with lust.
There. He had his answer. She wanted him. Would she let him fuck her? Because that's what it would be. In his world, sex was about fucking. Wild, animalistic, unrestrained rutting. He would see to her pleasure again and again. Still, it wouldn’t be sweet and it wouldn’t be loving.
A lift opened and a man stepped out. Tony released her and walked into the lift.
Turning, he faced her. Enough game playing. She had to come to him of her own volition.
She stood there looking sexy as sin as she bit her bottom lip and her forehead puckered in a frown as if she wondered why he'd left her in the lobby.
"I'm not going to drag you into the lift, if that’s what you were expecting." His fingers itched to do it, though. He didn't want to contemplate that she would turn around and walk away. Yet he had to give her the opportunity. "You have to walk into this lift yourself if you want me."
She glanced behind her and took a hesitant step backward.
His heart thundered. She was going to run. He held his breath and counted to ten to stop from stepping out and grabbing her arm. Instead, he jammed his finger into the door hold button and waited. Seconds ticked by that felt like hours. Sweat beaded his forehead.
She looked up and met his gaze. "Can you make the pain go away?"

Top 10 real life experiences in Love Undercover by @NanaPrah #Giveaway

Happy Monday, sweeties. Today I have the lovely Nana Prah on my blog sharing the top ten facts about her latest book, Love Undercover. Make her feel welcome. There's also a Gift Card giveaway for one lucky person.
Over to you, Nana...

One thing that many people don’t know is that Love Undercover is a romance based on an experience I had. Not the romance part, but the jail aspect. Without further delay I’d like to present 10 things that happen in Love Undercover that actually happened to me.
1.     My first cellmate was awesome. We would laugh all the freaking time. We had similar personalities and loved to have fun. She was a bisexual, but didn’t fancy me. I’m a heterosexual, but I was like why not? Still laughing about that.
2.     I butchered my eyebrows by attempting to shape them with thread. It was hilarious- even to me
3.     I was strip searched after having a visit (It was not fun in the least)
4.     There were some hot guards in that prison. But unfortunately I had no romantic liaisons with any of them (damn).
5.     Many of the detainees stories in the book are true. I’ve dramatized them just a tad.
6.     Most of what happened to one of the characters in the novel is what I went through, only I’ve never had a boob job (darn it).
7.     Sarita and I had the same second cellmate, only there was no fight in real life. The devil part is true, though- very scary.
8.     The library was awesome. No covert operations for me, even though it does happen in the system.
9.     We baked a cake. To this day I still find it weird, but it’s true.
10.            To the best of my knowledge there was no blind spot at the prison I was detained at. That came from my imagination so I could get some intimate scenes in there for Sarita and Matt.
So there you have it. If you have any questions on what else is true in Love Undercover once you read it, just contact me and I’ll let you know.
