Thrusty Thursday - For Your Reading Pleasure

Hello everyone! It's a news round up bulletin.

It's been a busy week. Kids went back to school after the Easter break yesterday. We had to brave freezing rain and bumper-to-bumper school run traffic. No, Walking was not an option in that rain. LOL

On a more positive note; I finished my first ever 70,000 word novel. When I first started writing, I thought that was impossible for me. But two years down the line and I've done it. Yippee!

I'm over at The Nuthouse Scribblers

Hiya! There's no Thrusty Thursday post this week because I'm over at The Nuthouse Scribblers blog.
Some of you know I'm a regular contributor over there. It's the online home for a group of up and coming writers who met after the New Voices 2010 contest and formed a critique group. Some of us have been recently published and others on their way to publication.

My post is about the lead character in my next contemporary romance, An Engagement Challenge. I shared with you my dilemma in picking the right cover in my post Judge A Book By Its Cover. Now you can read about the character behind the cover and also see the final cover I chose. There's also an excerpt from the book.

I'd love to see you all over there. Just click this link. Stop by and say hello.

If you recently enter a giveaway contest on my blog. Check the top right-hand bar for the list of winners. Have a great day.

Thrusty Thursday – Judge A Book By Its Cover

Hello Readers. Yesterday I did a little experiment on Facebook. Well, it wasn’t very scientific and probably didn’t cover a broad spectrum of my readership but it produced an interesting result.
I asked people to vote for their preferred cover out of these two.

A total of 52 people voted. 40 voted for A. 12 voted for B. Overwhelming, right? You’d think I’d go ‘Yeah, my job here is done’ and put my feet up. After all, I have a cover most people liked. Nope. Read the comments below and I’ll explain why I still have my work cut out.

The Price of Candy - Authors for Trayvon

On Feb 26, 2012, Trayvon Martins life was cut short as he walked to a family member's home from a convenience store where he purchased some candy. The price of candy for this seventeen year old child was his life.

We've come together as a community of readers and author to support Trayvon's family in their battle for justice. From April 1 - 7, 2012, participating authors will donate 17% of their book sales to the Martins family.

Authors for Trayvon is sponsored by All4One Authors Promoting Authors. It runs from 1 - 7 April, 2012.

I'll be donating 17% of my royalties from the eBooks sales of A Valentine Challenge to Trayvon's family. If you already have a copy of this ebook, please consider buying one as a gift for a member of your family or friend to help a worthy cause. Even if they don't have an eReader, they can read eBooks on their phones or PCs/Laptops/Notebooks/iPad, via Pdf, ePUB or Mobi.
