It’s All About the Research: @AdrianaKraft on how The Unmasking #book came to be

Happy Monday, readers. Today I am happy to welcome a new guest to my blog, author Adriana Kraft. She tells us how she did the research for her latest novel, The Unmasking.
Be sure to make her feel welcome. I will gift one lucky person who leaves a comment with a copy of this ebook. So be sure to leave her a comment.

Over to you, Adriana...

It’s All About the Research

Authors of erotic romance often get teased about what kind of research they might delve into for the sake of their books – it’s a tough job, but somebody’s got to do it…**snicker, giggle, knowing wink.**

The research my husband and I engaged in for this spicy romantic suspense is a little different – some might say, it’s been our entire lives. We’ve both taught at universities (that’s where we met) and we know the academic life from the inside. The choices and struggles faced by our professorial hero, Anthropologist Matt Bayfield, are more familiar than we might like to admit.

Do you want me to stop? #SexySnippets from Scores #PassionShieldsSeries

Welcome back to Sexy Snippets. This weekly meme is hosted by The Nuthouse Scribblers where we share seven sentences from a published book or work-in-progress. If you're a writer, feel free to join us by signing up at the Sexy Snippets page. Sign up opens every Tuesday and closes midnight every Saturday (UK time).

If you read my mid-week tease over at the Passion Shields blog, you'll know I've started writing the 3rd book in the series, Scores. I must confess the story is practically writing itself. It's probably because I've come to know Benjamin and Selina so much as I've watched their relationship develop through time, although I'm discovering new things about them too.

Like in this scene in a night club. At the start of their relationship, Selina would've called a halt at the drop of a hat. But it seems Benjamin has unleashed an exhibitionist after all. Or has he?

This is unedited. Enjoy my sexy 7 sentences.

"In the meantime, you're going to come all over my hand."
Here and now; In public?
"Ben..." Her voice was husky as she struggled to get air into her lungs. She let her eyelids flutter shut. "I..."
She couldn’t even articulate her thoughts. They'd vanished into the icy smoke of the dance floor as his hand trailed upward against her bare thigh, bunching the corner of her dress.
Warm, rough palm settled on her left hip, inches from where she needed him most.
"Do you want me to stop?"

I hope you enjoyed it. Leave me a comment. I love to read them.

He’d promised himself their first time together he’d be gentle and take it easy. Not like the crazy passion-filled incident the other night in the car.

Yet now he knew he was close to losing his control. Whereas the other night, she’d let him take the lead. Tonight she wasn’t being shy about showing what she wanted. The way she touched him, her soft moans, the way she moved her body showed him without a doubt what she wanted--him. And it was driving him crazy.

What would you do if your love vanished? @LSJRomance tells us #DarkTalesDiaries #booktour

Thanks for having me on your blog today to talk about my Dark Tales Diaries series, part of the Romance on the Go Line from Evernight Publishing.

Question: If you loved someone and one day they just vanished from your life, what would you do to try and find them?

My answer: Anything earthly possible.

The inspiration for this BDSM series of short stories sparked from a casual conversation with the love of my life. Two words, “Dark Tales,” poked at me. From there, I sat down and typed non-stop. Dark Tales Diaries: Volume One and the life of Tristan Blackthorn spilled out upon the “pages” of my laptop.
