How do you make a move on your cousin's best friend? @MamaD8 #TheBearTreatment

Happy Monday, world. +Doris O'connor has taken over my blog today. I'll leave her to introduce her latest book, The Bear Treatment. Over to you, D...

***

Thanks so much for having me here today with my new release The Bear Treatment.

How do you make a move on your cousin’s best friend? That is my hero’s dilemma in the Bear Treatment. He has known Louisa since she was knee high, but she has only ever given him the death stare. Besides, his cousin would have had his pelt for a rug, had he tried anything.

Then there is the small matter of his being a shifter, and the whole council rules—not that they bother with him much. His family are not precious pure bloods. In fact, most of his side of the family can’t even shift anymore, their blood lines too diluted by centuries of mating with humans.

Errant muse-dominant alpha-Doris O'Connor shares Her Imaginary Lover @MamaD8 #book

Happy Monday, folks and a big thank you to Kiru for letting me take over her blog today!
I have been somewhat of a busy bee this last week, with two releases and another story coming out tomorrow. They range from paranormal to contemporary and Sci-fi, m/f to m/m/f.
If you haven’t guessed by now, my muse likes to stir things up and shake it all about. I never know what she comes up with next, and as for the actual plot… well, my characters tend to go off on a tangent, and they are very firmly in charge.
I like to think it keeps my writing fresh, but I leave you, the readers, to decide on that.
*grins*
Take Her Imaginary Lover for instance. It’s one of those stories that came out of nowhere, and forced me to write it. Hubby and I were walking the dog and we were chatting away, and hubby made a throwaway comment about there being invisible people watching us…

Sometimes doing a favor can change your life forever-Through The Dom's Lens @MamaD8 @EvernightPub #BBW

Happy Monday, people! I'm so excited this morning to have the lovely author Doris O'Connor on my blog. I'm a huge fan of her writing and I'm pleased to say she's also a friend too. She writes erotic romance with the perfect blend of the sexual, emotional and romantic elements, just the way I love it. Her latest interracial erotic romance book Through The Dom's Lens is no exception. This book is at the top of my TBR, just as soon as I send off edits to editor.
For now, please make her feel welcome as she explains what inspired this latest book.
Take it away, Doris....

Thank you so much for inviting Master J on your blog today, Kiru.
When Master J first popped into my head, I didn't know too much about him. I never do with my characters as I'm a complete and utter panster, but he very quickly became a strong voice, demanding I tell his story the way he saw it. When we first meet him he is rather disillusioned with life in general and with this photo shoot in particular.

Over to you, D...

#ThrustyThursday: Man-Droid The Orgasmatron by Doris O'Connor @MamaD8

It's been a long time since we had a Thrusty Thursday on this blog. Well, I've got a treat for you today. It doesn't get any 'Thrustier' than one of Doris O'Connor's books. And her latest book is no different. Trust me. *wink*
She's here on my blog today. So I won't keep you waiting much longer.

Over to you, Doris.
~*~*~*~*~

Thanks so much for having me on your blog today, Kiru.
I want you all to take a moment and imagine your ideal man. Height, build, hair colour, mannerisms, size of his… err… hands.
*grins*
Got that in your head, have you?
Good, now imagine he knows your every deepest desire and has the ability to fulfil it. He's the man that will not leave the toilet seat up, or his dirty socks on your floor. He will watch your chick flicks with you, or rant at the footie, if that's your thing, and supply you with endless chocolate and affection or equally hot sex when you need it.
He can read you and knows just what you need at any given time. He will even argue with you if you're feeling the need to lock horns with him, and of course the make-up sex will be fantastic.
Most of all he only has eyes for you.
Still with me? Are you drooling yet?
Now, imagine trying to resist such a man?
Kinda hard to do, huh? That is exactly the scenario my heroine Beth finds herself in, in my latest release Man-Droid the Orgasmatron. If he was just a machine, then she would be able to resist him. That's only sex, after all, and in her words, "I have well used vibrators for that!"
However, you see, Elliot has this teeny, tiny, little thing, called an experimental emotion chip, and those emotions make him utterly irresistible.
They mean he acts out of character, and with his programmed domineering Alpha side he also shows tenderness, love, and concern. He also has to deal with a seeming inability to control his fully adjustable male appendage around Beth. Something that causes him great embarrassment, yet reassures Beth greatly.
Falling in love had never been her plan, and when the government finds out about this feeling sentient Man-Droid, well…. You will have to read the book to find out what happens.

Blurb:

[Siren Classic: Erotic Futuristic Sci-Fi Romance, light bondage, spanking, HEA]

The plan had been simple. Sign up for the sex android trial, so that she had a doting boyfriend to present at the dreaded school reunion.

It was just her luck that Bethany Devlin had to get the one man-droid with an emotion chip. Unable to resist Elliot's charms, she finds in him the only partner she can truly submit to. If only he was real and not just an illusion.

Elliot Parsons has a hard time coming to terms with the fact that he has emotions. Orgasmatrons are programmed to fulfill their partner's every sexual fantasy, but Beth proves to be so much more than just another program to run through. He needs her submission like the very air he pretends to breathe, and he will do anything to keep her safe.

Deciding what is love and what is lust proves nigh on impossible when the government interferes. Time is running out…

Thrusty Thursday: Masks of a Tiger @mamaD8 #BookReview

Hello, everyone. Welcome to Thrusty Thursday. I’ve been trying to catch up with my To-Be-Read pile and this week I've got another book to recommend.

Disclaimer: No favours have been exchanged for these reviews.

Neeve doesn't understand why any normal person would choose to wear a collar like a common house pet. So, the collaring ceremony of her best friend's sister-in-law is the last place she wants to be, even if the hot men watching her send her insides aflame.

Never one for missing the opportunity to teach a bratty sub manners, Grisha intends to show the fiery little redhead the error of her ways. He doesn't expect to see her drawn to the flame like the proverbial moth. When she hurts herself in ways that even a Dom of his experience finds hard to witness, he knows he needs to help her.

Will their sexual chemistry be enough to chase away their demons and burn away their masks? Or is the submission Grisha demands too much for Neeve to accept?

Top 10 Books of 2012. What’s yours?

Welcome back, everyone. I hope you had a fun relaxing time over the holidays. It's time to reflect on 2012 and prepare for 2013.

In this post I'm looking back at some of my favourite reads of 2012 and looking forward to a new year of fantastic books.

For a lady with over 700 eBooks on my Kindle and that doesn’t include the ones on my Kobo eReader or the paperbacks, reading is an integral part of who I am.
