“Lara,” he spoke her name with reverence as he pulled her into his arms and kissed her, properly this time. Their lips fussed, hers hesitant, although she clung to him, arms around his midriff. “Open your mouth. Let me in.”

She did, parting her lips with a gasp. He swept in, tongue tracing the entrance, sampling her, preparing her, before plunging in. She tasted sweet—bubblegum and Lara.
