New Year, New Cover, New Books

Hello everyone. Happy New Year! I hope that 2012 meets you healthy and hearty.

2011 was a fantastic year for me—I signed my first publishing contract and published my first book, meaning that I achieved a goal I’d set for myself at the beginning of the year. Read my thanksgiving postwhere I listed several reasons for me to be thankful in 2011.

For 2012, I have upped the ante on my goals, pushing myself even further. So I hope you’ll stay with me as I aim to break new grounds this year. This year, expect more from me. More projects, more excerpts, more freebies and more all round fun.
To kick off the New Year, I’d like to unveil the cover of my next book, His Strength, Men of Valor #2. It is out February 10, 2012. This is the story of Ikem and Nneka who are briefly mentioned in His Treasure. Visit My Books page to read the blurb. You can also read an excerpt. I’d like to thank my cover artist Mina Carter for capturing the characters very well. I love it. Don’t you? J

And before someone complains that there are naked people on the cover, I’d like to remind them the story is set in a hot climate in the middle ages when Africans wore little clothing. Most women were bare-breasted and working men wore loin-cloths. So no three-piece suits here, I’m afraid. LOL

Woohoo! His Treasure has been nominated for Best Book 2011 by Love Romance Cafe. I was gobsmacked when I found out yesterday via my publisher Breathless Press. I think I’ve only just found my voice today. It is also currently the #1 bestseller in the Historical Ancient Romance category at All Romance ebooks. A big thank you to everyone who’s bought a copy. 2012 has started on a high note for me. I can only pray it continues in the same vein.

If you entered the December book contest over at the Romance Writers of West Africa website, the winners have been announced. Are you a winner? Pop over and check out the post. Also the winners of The Nuthouse Scribblers December giveaway have also been announced. Go and check if you won.

So to every one of you, I raise my glass to wish you the very best of 2012. May it exceed your expectations and bring you good fortune. Happy New Year again.
