Today I'm excited to have author Deatri King-Bey as my guest. She writes African-American/Multicultural Women's fiction from contemporary romance to fantasy fiction. Please give her a very warm welcome. Over to you Dea. I'm also offering one lucky commenter an eBook copy of her latest novel TEASE at the end of the week. So make sure you leave a comment.

People
often ask me what I love about writing. It’s always been difficult to explain.
I often say that I write to keep the voices in my head silent. I tell their
stories. I’m joking, kind of sort of. When I write, the characters become real.
I know everything about them and their lives and they keep me entertained. Yep.
I’m a tad bit of a nut, but it works for me. LOL.
Anywhooo,
one of the things I love about writing is sharing the characters that are in my
head with you. If after you’ve read one of my titles, you wonder what this or
that character is up to, I’ve done a good job.
A
year ago, I released the first book in my traditional romance series, The Write
Brothers. I write romance, so you probably think that’s no big deal. Yes, I
write romance, but not traditional romance or series romance. Readers have contacted me about my previous
novels and characters they enjoyed, but this series was different. It was like
the characters truly came to life for the readers. The reader response has been
off the charts for love of this family. I think I’ve figured out why. Over the
year and three previous titles, they got to know the family slowly and look
forward to what they would do next. So
what’s next? I recently released the final title of the series, Tease.
If
you’ve enjoyed the first three titles, from what I’ve heard, you won’t be
disappointed Tease. For those of you who haven’t tried the series, I’ve also
released an eBox set of the entire series. Below is information about Tease and
the eBox set. I hope you give it a try.
Tease Book Blurb:

Now the ultimate bed-hopper—Tyler Write, has set his sights on her and she’s having difficulty resisting him.Tyler can have any woman except the one he truly wants—Eva Simpson. Smooth lines and sweet talk won't work with her. To have a chance at Eva’s heart, he’ll have to show her who he really is.
Purchase
this eBook from Amazon, Barnes & Noble.
The print version will be released in a few weeks.
Tease Book Excerpt:
Heart rate increasing, Eva prayed she didn’t trip and make a spectacle of herself as they
approached Tyler. All of Gloria’s sons were the epitome of tall, dark and
handsome, but Tyler …
No wonder women found him so irresistible.
Yep, she’d heard the rumors of his
conquests in bed. One of the women in her circle was proud he’d chosen her,
even if only for one night. But what impressed her more was how he’d treated
her friend like a queen, made her feel special, like there was no other woman. This man is dangerous!
Dangerous to others, not her. Call her
selfish and a prude, but she didn’t believe in sharing men or bed-hopping.
They rounded the table and approached him
from behind.
Uncle Joe placed his hand on Tyler ’s shoulder. “Tyler , this is Eva
Simpson, our hostess for the evening.”
“The pleasure is all mine.” Literally. She amended her previous
thought. This man is dangerously sexy! Up
close and personal, she completely understood why women threw themselves at
him. Other women, not her. But that didn’t mean she couldn’t dream, and boy did
she see some doozies in her near future. “Do you mind if I sit?”
“Not at all.” A complete gentleman, Tyler
pulled out a chair for her and gently pushed it in as she sat.
“Thank you.”
“I need to get on back to the kitchen.”
Uncle Joe walked off.
“I wanted to thank you personally for
helping us switch over to solar energy. The entire Write family has been so
generous. I’ll never be able to repay you.” She spotted her multi-millionaire
parents heading for the coatroom. They hadn’t given one cent, one minute of
their time or had one good thing to say about Next Generation.
“I wish I could do more.” He leaned toward
her slightly, and whispered, “Is something wrong?”
“Honestly, yes, but this is our night. All
that matters is getting the word out about your company and raising funds for
my school.”
Her father escorted her mother toward the
exit with his hand placed lovingly at the small of her mother’s back. In the
big scheme of things, she reckoned she should be thankful they made an
appearance. They never had in the past. But then again, Uncle Joe had serious
connections and had invited everyone who was anyone in the renewable energy
world—including her father, the head of the State Energy Conservation Office.
Had he not attended, he would have looked like a fool.
“Who are they to you?”
“I’m sorry, I’m being rude.”
“Is she your mother or your aunt? I can
tell she’s some relation. You’re just as beautiful as she is. You’re going to
age nicely.”
Flattered, her face heated with
embarrassment. “Thank you. I guess I resemble my mother some.”
“People say I look like my dad spit me out
of his mouth.” He nodded toward Tex
and Gloria. “Sometimes I wonder where these crazy sayings come from.”
“You’re both very handsome men. You’re
going to age nicely.”
Perfect white teeth framed by dark skin and
luscious lips had always been a favorite of hers, and he sure knew how to work
a smile.
“A quick thinker. I like that.”
SONS 4 SALE (Write Brothers Series eBox Set): If Gloria Write hears “There are no good Black men…” one more time, she’ll scream. She has four sons who fit the bill and not one is married. Desperate times call for desperate action. During the course of four novels, Gloria sets out to ensure her sons marry. The eBox set includes all four Write Brother novels.
Purchase the eBox set for $7.99 or each novel for $2.99 from Amazon or Barnes & Noble.
