It's been a busy week. Kids went back to school after the Easter break yesterday. We had to brave freezing rain and bumper-to-bumper school run traffic. No, Walking was not an option in that rain. LOL
On a more positive note; I finished my first ever 70,000 word novel. When I first started writing, I thought that was impossible for me. But two years down the line and I've done it. Yippee!
Today 19 April is TweetIgbo day on Twitter. It's hosted by The New Igbo Dictionary project and aimed at raising awareness of Igbo language across the globe and hopefully getting twitter to recognise it as a language option. Igbo is my native language and although I love communicating and writing in English, I also want to safeguard my local language for the future. If you've followed my stories, then you know my historical romance series is set in Ancient Igboland. Also A Valentine Challenge has a phrase or two or Igbo in it too.
So if you have a twitter account and can write Igbo, join in the fun using the hashtag #TweetIgbo and @language. If you can't, I'd still love you to retweet my tweets, please. Thank you.
An Engagement Challenge is now up on Goodreads. Please add it to your To-Read list.
You can also pre-order it in eBook format from All Romance. It's currently discounted at 33% until it is released on 27 April.
Weekend Reads:
The Alphas: Book 1 of the Blood Bar Chronicles published by Breathless Press, one of my can't wait for books is out tomorrow 20 April. It features stories from 4 of my writing buddies from The Nuthouse Scribblers. If you love adult paranormal romance, then you'll love it.
I'm also looking forward to another paranormal romance Unbound by April Vine out tomorrow too. April writes erotic romance and is also a writing buddy from Romance Writers of South Africa. Pick up a copy from Ellora's Cave or other online book stores.
So you have enough to read this weekend. I certainly will be enjoying relaxing and reading for a change.
Have a great weekend.
