Thrusty Thursday - Have wings, will fly

Hello readers! Sorry, there's been no updates for a while. I've been off-kilter and down with the flu. I'm glad to say I'm back in the land of the living (just about). I've got a couple of things to share, so bear with me.

First I want to remind those who won copies of my ebooks in the recent give-away contests to email me and tell me which format they prefer. Go to the Contact Me tab for my email address. If you already sent me an email, please send me another gentle reminder. Thank you.

As it is 1 March and World Book Day (UK), I'd like to unveil the cover to my next book, An Engagement Challenge. This is the 2nd book in Challenge series. It is out 6 April 2012.
This is Paul and Ijay's story. Of the 3 friends introduced in A Valentine Challenge, Paul is the 'hardest' character. He has very strong beliefs and things are usually very black or white to him. Ijay doesn't think life is so clear cut and accepts there are different shades and colours in between. Throwing these two together is very interesting for me as a writer. I hope you'll enjoy reading it soon.

Let me know what you think and have a great weekend!

Here's the blurb:

Book 2 of the contemporary romance Challenge series, set in Nigeria. Three friends. Three challenges. Are they willing to risk everything for love?

Paul Arinze believes good friends are for life, girlfriends come and go. When a chance encounter with a beautiful girl leads to a sizzling one-night stand while on a business trip to London, he lives in the moment. When he wakes the next morning to find the girl gone, he brushes it off as one of those things and moves on.

Ijeoma Amadi (Ijay to her friends) loves her life. She has a great job working for a PR agency and a great fiancé. So when she travels back to Nigeria for her traditional engagement party and bumps into  Paul, the man she had a one night stand with before she met her fiancé, she is dismayed to find her life as she knows it begin to unravel.

Seeing each other again sparks an explosive desire that threatens their priorities and loyalties. When love is involved, what are the limits?

As a footnote, I want to say a big thank you to you awesome readers for making His Treasure and His Strength #1 and #2 in the All Romance ebooks Historical Ancient Chart! You guys rock!!!!

  2. lol...I know what you mean, Elise. Reading time is gradually getting more squeezed. The only things I can read these days tend to be shorter length/novella type book cause I get max 1hr reading time in a stretch.

    1. Thank you, Denise. It's great to see the books doing well. It helps to counter the depressive effect of feeling it. The flu really is horrid. This was the first time I've had it in a long while. But I think my body was already run down.
